Todd Haugh is an Associate Professor of Business Law and Ethics at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a leader in the field of behavioral ethics and compliance.

He created Business Ethics Bound to connect academics, business leaders, and students in the shared pursuit of helping organizations become more ethical.

Research that spans the fields of white collar and corporate crime, business and behavioral ethics, and federal sentencing policy.

In dozens of publications, Todd explores how and why business people make ethical decisions and what comes of it—for good or bad—and how companies and regulators respond. Todd’s work is inherently interdisciplinary because it draws from criminological, phycological, philosophical, and legal theories, without losing its practical bent. His work has appeared in top law and business journals, including the Northwestern University Law Review, Notre Dame Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, Wisconsin Law Review, and the MIT-Sloan Management Review. In 2019, Todd was awarded the Distinguished Early Career Achievement Award by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

A dynamic and innovative teacher.

Todd has taught unruly undergraduates, hyper-intense law students and MBAs, and results-focused corporate executives. Whether in a conference room or lecture hall, he marries real world experience with cutting edge research to engage students of all backgrounds. His classes on business ethics, white collar crime, and critical thinking, offer a unique look at how ethics, law, business, and psychology interact in today’s complex world. Todd’s teaching has been recognized with numerous awards and a Jesse Fine Fellowship from the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions, where he now serves as a board member.

A corporate partner for speaking, research, and advising.

Todd’s expertise in the burgeoning field of behavioral compliance has made him a sought after speaker, research partner, and advisor to Fortune 100 companies and ethics organizations. He has presented to thousands of employees on topics ranging from ethical nudging, to rationalized wrongdoing, to the behaviors of integrity, and he’s served as a one-on-one coach to senior executives and board members. Todd uses his unique experiences as a white collar criminal defense attorney, federal law clerk, and Supreme Court Fellow to engage audiences and leave them with lasting insights into ethical decision making and behavior.
